Safeguard
Cruise ships that operate in U.S. ports are typically registered under foreign flags, which means that the majority of the crew employed by cruise companies are not from the United States. When a non-U.S. crew member is released from their duties on the ship, whether it’s due to the end of their contract, illness, termination or other reasons, their employer is obligated to arrange transportation for them back to their home country. To fulfill this responsibility, Universal Safeguard & Transportation has been contracted to take custody of these crew members from the moment they leave the ship until their departure from U.S. territory on a plane.
Our procedures adhere to the requirements set by U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and they are meticulously followed by every Safeguard Officer assigned to each job. Our Safeguard Officers are carefully chosen based on their background, experience, and customer service skills. They undergo thorough training and are held responsible for the proper implementation of these procedures.
At our company, we pride ourselves on providing a guarantee safeguarding service for our clients. Our dedicated team goes the extra mile by personally accompanying the crew from their point of embarkment to the airport, ensuring a seamless and stress-free experience.
